  • The PL loading bridge range covers two different crossing requirements depending on the model selected. The PL1000X700, PL1500X700 and PL2000X700 versions provide a connection between a loading dock and a truck, with a capacity of 4,000 kg. The PL1000X1000 has a capacity of 1,000 kg and is designed for kerb crossing. Lightweight and robust, the PL range features a non-slip surface, weather-resistant construction and a design that helps reduce noise during use.

Bridge the gap between loading dock and truck up to 4,000 kg

The PL1000X700, PL1500X700 and PL2000X700 are designed for operations requiring a loading bridge between a dock and a truck. All three models have a 4,000 kg capacity and a common width of 700 mm.

The required length can be selected according to the loading area: 1,000 mm for the PL1000X700, 1,500 mm for the PL1500X700 and 2,000 mm for the PL2000X700. This choice of dimensions makes it possible to match the loading bridge to the transfer area and the height difference to be crossed.

These three models are fitted with two anti-slip cleats underneath the bridge. Their non-slip surface is designed for crossing operations between the vehicle and the loading dock.

Cross a kerb with the PL1000X1000

The PL1000X1000 is intended for a different application from the three 4-tonne loading bridges. With a capacity of 1,000 kg and overall dimensions of 1,000 x 1,000 mm, this version is specifically designed for kerb crossing.

The model weighs 20 kg. Unlike the PL1000X700, PL1500X700 and PL2000X700, the PL1000X1000 is not fitted with the two anti-slip cleats underneath the bridge. It therefore provides a dedicated configuration for this type of crossing requirement.

Select the bridge length to suit the loading area

The three dock-to-truck models share a width of 700 mm and are available in three different lengths. Their weight also varies according to size: 15 kg for the PL1000X700, 22 kg for the PL1500X700 and 30 kg for the PL2000X700.

For these three models, the stated height difference is 130 mm at ±12.5% in accordance with EN 1398 and 90 mm at ±18%. These values should be considered together with the bridge dimensions when selecting the appropriate model for the connection between the loading dock and the truck.

Non-slip surface for loading and unloading areas

The PL range is weather resistant, making it suitable for loading areas that may be exposed to outdoor conditions. The non-slip surface is another common feature across the range and is designed for crossing operations.

The construction of the PL loading bridges also helps reduce noise during use. With model weights ranging from 15 to 30 kg, the range combines lightweight handling with the robustness required for the applications specified for each version.

Capacity, dimensions and height differences of the PL range

  • PL1000X1000: capacity 1,000 kg, overall dimensions 1,000 x 1,000 mm, weight 20 kg, designed for kerb crossing.
  • PL1000X700: capacity 4,000 kg, overall dimensions 1,000 x 700 mm, height difference at ±12.5% EN 1398: 130 mm, height difference at ±18%: 90 mm, weight 15 kg.
  • PL1500X700: capacity 4,000 kg, overall dimensions 1,500 x 700 mm, height difference at ±12.5% EN 1398: 130 mm, height difference at ±18%: 90 mm, weight 22 kg.
  • PL2000X700: capacity 4,000 kg, overall dimensions 2,000 x 700 mm, height difference at ±12.5% EN 1398: 130 mm, height difference at ±18%: 90 mm, weight 30 kg.

Typical applications for PL loading bridges

The PL range allows the bridge to be selected according to the type of crossing, required load capacity and dimensions available in the working area.

  • Dock-to-truck connection with the PL1000X700.
  • Loading dock bridge with a length of 1,500 mm using the PL1500X700.
  • Dock-to-truck connection with a 2,000 mm bridge using the PL2000X700.
  • Transfer of loads between truck and loading dock up to a maximum capacity of 4,000 kg.
  • Loading and unloading operations involving a height difference compatible with the specified bridge values.
  • Kerb crossing with the PL1000X1000 up to a maximum capacity of 1,000 kg.

Which PL model should you choose for your loading area?

The first selection criterion is the type of crossing required. For a dock-to-truck connection, the three 4,000 kg versions are available in lengths of 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 mm, all with a width of 700 mm. For kerb crossing, the PL1000X1000 is the dedicated 1,000 kg model.

The available space, required load capacity and actual height difference should all be checked before selecting a model. For the PL1000X700, PL1500X700 and PL2000X700, the stated height differences are 130 mm at ±12.5% in accordance with EN 1398 and 90 mm at ±18%.
